A new committee was voted in at the AGM on March 21. Jill Novak was re-elected president, Virginia Moffat as Vice-President and Membership Secretary, Jill Grieve Treasurer and Public Officer, Sam Paine was elected Secretary, Brian McCarney, joined the Committee and Christopher Wright re-joined as Newsletter editor and Publicity Officer.
Our heartfelt thanks of all the efforts of the retiring committee members Helen Harwood, Mike Sweeney, Bruce Wilson, Sandy Smith and Veronica Burns, for all of their efforts which helped so much to revitalise Mudgee Arts with such an interesting program during 2011.
The new group held its first meeting on April 2 and committed to an outline program for 2012. Full details will be posted later and will appear in the next issue of the Newsletter, but the first major event is “The Living World” art competition, opening at Fairview on 16 May; followed by a Poetry afternoon on May 20 at the Small Wine Makers Cellar (next door to Fairview).
